Enzyme-substrate interactions: reaction kinetics, mechanism of reactions, and enzyme activity measurements. Substrate inhibition.

Reversible binding of ligands: competition with substrates and identification of ligand binding sites on the enzyme. Irreversible enzyme inhibition.

Effect of temperature: activation energies and transition states. Enzyme denaturation. Effect of pH on enzyme reactions. Differentiation of genetic variants based on the kinetics of interaction with substrates and inhibitors. Modification of enzyme structure reflected in catalytic parameters.

Seminars: evaluation of kinetic constants for reactions of esterases with substrates and inhibitors.
